...life in small Northern towns, working for assholes, boys who refuse to become men, synthetic personalities, anorexic models and their link to emotional scarring, bad marijuana trips, crazies on BC Transit, beer, piece of shit cars, living out of a suitcase paycheck to paycheck, unrequited love, Seinfeld, minimum-wage jobs, broken New Years resolutions, and over-limit Visa accounts.

...long may she reign... I'm alive! I'm alive! ... but is there anybody out there that still reads this thing??? I know for one there's my fabulous Aunt Donna, as she's the only one who wrote in response to my engagement entry... So, if you're out there..., this one's for you, Aunt Donna. :) Still at the mercy of our cheap-ass neighbours (aka. wireless nazis), so here I am back at the internet cafe sipping my "London Fog"... a new delish treat that has assumed the role of my current coffehouse addiction... Earl Grey Tea, Steamed Milk, Vanillia syrup.... mmmmm. Nummy. At any rate, here we are. Another grey day in Vancouver, but I'm off today (AND tomorrow!!) so am far from complaining. Wedding plans are coming along nicely. In fact, I admitted to Damo last night that I feel as though we're supposed to be planning or something... shouldn't we be stressed out and spending every last second thinking about this wedding and how it's all going to play out??? Honestly, I think we've got the gig wrapped. It's gonna be simple, but definitely "us". Which, in true reflection of our personalities, we've managed to deter a fair few from attending due to location and potential temperatures. We'll see, but at this point, we both feel as though we've got a good handle on the preparations. We're actually a bit bummed out that it's so far away because we're so pumped and excited for the fun of it all. It's gonna be a party! :) WOO-HOO! Let's see... what else can I report? Ah, well. Just received news this afternoon that our very good friends Clint and Rozzy are packing up their (apparently) colicky child and slobbering dog in late April to make the move from Australia to BC. YEE HAW! We're more than a little excited. I wasn't expecting them to be here before July, so this is a very welcome surprise. But, of course, in true 'even steven' fashion, to compensate for the joy of Clint and Rozzy's impending arrival, we've recently learned that my other Aussie amigo and his lady won't be able to make it over for our big day this winter. .... :( Very bummed about that. I'm considering operating a full-scale bottle-drive operation for the next few months in the hopes of raising enough money for their airfares over. A long shot, but worth it, I think. Bloody even steven, the bastard. You know what? I'm actually boring myself... I can only imagine what I'm doing to you poor sods. Feel free to shut down the computer..., but I'll do you one better than that and just sign off for now. Until I have something at least remotely interesting to share. Until then, I bid you....adieu. |
