...life in small Northern towns, working for assholes, boys who refuse to become men, synthetic personalities, anorexic models and their link to emotional scarring, bad marijuana trips, crazies on BC Transit, beer, piece of shit cars, living out of a suitcase paycheck to paycheck, unrequited love, Seinfeld, minimum-wage jobs, broken New Years resolutions, and over-limit Visa accounts.

Anyone got a spare monkey? Less than 12 hours between shifts at the store; not enough time for sleep, I say. Not only that, but FUCK am I sick of assholes. People who complain that our prices are 20 cents higher than the superstore, or that we don't sell mayonaise in 17 different flavours. Piss off, assholes! I'm over that place, truly. But lucky me... just to make the job more exciting, we've hired a new employee (the 4th I've trained; fired 2, one quit because I'm a super-bitch). This is a new form of stress that I hadn't encountered prior to working in retail. Seriously, a monkey could do a better job than the majority of the nimrods out there. IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE, PEOPLE! IT'S STOCKING A FRIDGE AND SCANNING ITEMS INTO A COMPUTER. I think I might be getting a bit jaded. Anyway... enough of work. I have to be back there in 10 hours, I don't want to think about it any more than I have to. Not too much else to report - Mel et co. were here for a couple days and we had a riot. Need to get my liver back into rehab now... jeezus. It's amazing how I can go months without a single drop, and as soon as family comes into the picture I fall off the wagon and immediately get back in line for Betty Ford. Rednecks and their offspring sure can drink. YEE-HAW! :) We rock. Anyway, time for bed... just wanted to make my obligatory entry so I don't cop an earbashing from anyone out there who may accidentally stumble across this site... Sorry it's so dull, I'm just feeling a little uninspired. Must come from living in this shithole cesspool or horn-honking, money-hoarding twats (god I hate the unequal distribution of wealth...). I need some peace. Quiet would be nice, too. Bingle. |
