...life in small Northern towns, working for assholes, boys who refuse to become men, synthetic personalities, anorexic models and their link to emotional scarring, bad marijuana trips, crazies on BC Transit, beer, piece of shit cars, living out of a suitcase paycheck to paycheck, unrequited love, Seinfeld, minimum-wage jobs, broken New Years resolutions, and over-limit Visa accounts.

A few random thoughts before I "walk the plank"... Well, with only 1 1/2 days left of work and time in this city (yahoo! yippee!), this will likely be my last entry for a while. In fact, this will probably be my last entry as a single woman. SNAP. How crazy is that??? We're pumped - so excited for the fun ahead of us, and to see everyone... especially those we haven't seen for a while. Is it the excitement that causes my sleeplessness? I've been awake since 5am (again). Balls. I H-A-T-E being awake that early when I have to work... makes for a long day. Hopefully the vitamin B will kick me into gear today. :) Speaking of which, there should be an FDA warning on the side of VitB bottles that reads "CAUTION: Consuming Vitamin B on an empty stomach could result in violent projection vomiting." And that's all I'm gonna say. And speaking of empty stomachs... grrrooowwwllll .... mine's talking to me. Shall I feed you, Buddha? And if I rub you 3 times in a counter-clockwise motion, will you grant me a wish? Yes, sometimes I like to speak to my belly as though it were animated. Mind you, if it gets much bigger, it will be - animated, that is. December 21st. Isn't today the shortest day of the year? I think so. Hallelujah. Looking forward to more daylight... dark & wet & windy & cold-ish... not my favourite season. I much prefer the snowy winters of the Interior to Coastal ones. Blech. Wow. I'm really random this morning... I'm blaming it on the fatigue. Maybe I'll try to roll over and get a few more winks before the alarm goes off in 45 minutes to take D to work... So, if I don't see you here again before hand, have a VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS and all that jazz... Take care of yourselves and eachother out there... gros bisous - Holly Obasan |
